Kanuka Universe grows from Bogdan Kanuka’s artistic practice and recurring visual language. Characters first appear through drawings, prints, objects and experiments, then continue into stories, media, physical objects and cultural projects.
Many characters in Kanuka Universe share a recurring facial sign — a small smile and upside-down eyes — a minimal emotional code that reappears across creatures, clouds and objects.
CHARACTERS
Fat Butterfly, Crocodile, Elephant, Cloud and other recurring figures are gradually developing their own identities, relationships and stories.
FC67
A fictional club where every member wears the number 67 and nobody fully understands the rules.
FC67 explores belonging, imperfection, play and collective identity through the language of sport.
PUBLIC LAB
A temporary public-facing creative laboratory where new characters, artworks, objects and stories are developed in real time through drawing, printmaking, animation and physical experimentation.
ARCHIVE
The Kanuka Archive documents the development of the universe from its earliest drawings, prints and prototypes to exhibitions, collaborations, media and future physical institutions.
